A second time in Las Vegas. Everything looks the same except for the addition of the newly-opened City Center at the Strip.

City Center Las Vegas is a collection of hotels and spectacular shopping centers. Along with this, they also put up the CityCenter Tram. We actually rode the tram and it was a cool experience. No more long walks in the Strip.

This tram connects Crystals with the Monte Carlo to the south and the Bellagio to the north.

old enough?

Each time visiting friends and relatives come to our place, we make sure they visit this ghost town which is 300 years old. The community was preserved to make sure that tourist get the feel of being in a very old town. Can you see these people? They are even dressed in costumes.

Off to another road trip on the 10th of January.
A place in CA where there are a lot of Windmills, as in A LOT!

My mom was wearing DS' Bumblebee helmet majority part of the entire 5-hours drive because the sun was too bright on her side of the window.

Again, one of my mom's shots from our recent D.C. trip, a photo of the very famous private St. Albans School where most politicians have completed their elementary and secondary education. DH once kidded me that we should send DS in this school, well, if money is not an issue, why not!

I MISS SCUBADIVING BADLY.
I love how it brings me to a different world and I am the stranger.
I love the sound of my bubbles and I miss giggling while I watch the world of sea creatures.
I love the adrenaline rush when we reached more than 50 feet deep. I love the people I met through scubadiving, I just simply missed everything about it.
I will definitely allot some time for scubadiving when we go home for a vacation. However, I am pretty sure that my old wet suit would no longer fit me.

home renovation

Choosing the right modern furniture can be time consuming and taxing, at times. I say this based from my own personal experience. First, you have to consider the design, may it be contemporary, modern or traditional. Second, its size and shape, would it match the theme of your home, would the color suits the rest of your furniture and will this new furniture fit your allotted space? Lastly, the most important factor is considering its price and your budget.

I am lucky to have a husband who is very much in to home furniture so I have prevented myself from worrying about the factors mentioned above. On his leisure time, you would see him frequenting furniture stores from thrift stores or high-end furniture stores. Every time he comes home, I usually check on his bag to see if he has been hiding some small home decor. You see, I have been telling him to minimize on his home expenses because we might move to another place and obviously, we could not bring everything. Recently, he discovered that it is even better to check on furniture online which offer exquisite bedroom furniture and dining room furniture than visiting stores. One of the best furniture online stores he frequents is ERoomService.com. He showed me some furniture on the site such as this wicker furniture and outdoor furniture. I particularly like the patio furniture, only if our patio was a bit bigger. I know hubby wouldn't stop until he builds his own home. Owning and decorating his own home has become one of his ultimate goals in his life.

luggage on the web

The start of our 2010 has been full of travels, packing and Luggage. Because of this, on the last quarter of the year, we plan to stay home and save for bigger travels in the next year to come. I have missed 2 important events back home, the Church Wedding of my brother in April and one of my BFF's wedding in July. It seem very impractical at this time to go home as my folks just came over to visit us. Speaking of, they left their Designer Luggage, specifically their Tumi Luggage for our 2011 big trip.

So yes, we plan to come home on 2011. In fact, as early as now, I have already been scouting for Hartmann Luggage and other Luggages for that big trip. We are looking at staying there for more than 1 month and with all the things we want to bring home to our family and friends, we need sturdy and high-quality luggage. Moreso, more than 3. Ahhh, just the thought of coming home makes me more excited, I can't wait!

winnings

Vegas has always been one of my favorite destinations. I just love the fact that I can walk down the Strip without spending a penny, that is if I do not want to play and do not look forward to casino winnings. So when my group of friends have planned our second grand reunion in Vegas on 2012, I could not help but get more excited because for the very first time, I am going there with friends. I used to go there with family and relatives only.

Upon hearing this reunion plan, I just had to tell them about these casino winnings taxes and
casino tax rebate site which is CasinoTaxRebate.com. They recoup the US 30% withholding tax on gambling winnings of Canadian and International visitors to the USA. Isn't that great? I think this is because of the new US Tax Recovery System. Now there are plenty more reasons to play and get those refunds. Something to really look forward to in 2012. That will be a couple of years from now but I cannot contain my excitement already.

Ha!
I am beginning to be very delinquent in posting my Project 365 photos here and even I am starting to be delinquent in posting it in my Flickr account. I still take photos on a daily basis but it's the posting that makes it very taxing.

This particular photo was taken during the first week of February when we were Kindergarten School hunting for DS. Yes, he is an official Kindergartener come September. We went to every private, public, semi-private, christian schools, name it.
